Rincon, Georgia — August 4, 2026 — The City of Rincon announces that it has tentatively adopted a millage rate that would result in a 100 percent increase in property taxes for the upcoming tax year.
The City invites all concerned citizens to participate in a series of public hearings regarding the proposed tax increase. The first hearing will be held on:
- August 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM

Two additional hearings will be held at the same location on:
- August 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM

The tentative millage rate increase would result in a new rate of 2.323 mills, an increase of 2.323 mills over the current rate of 0.00 mills. Residents are encouraged to attend these hearings to provide input and receive information on the proposed tax changes.
